Suppers and Other Events
Suppers
Suppers have become a crucial part of Saint Augustine’s ministry. Five times a year parishioners plan and prepare a supper. Diners are invited to contribute toward the cost of the meal and toward the support of a ministry or an agency which helps promote the health and well being of people.
Epiphany
The Epiphany party completes the Christmas Season. Proceeds go to those who work for children and families.
Mardi Gras
For the last several years our Mardi Gras party has raised funds for the relief of suffering on the Gulf Coast of the United States.
Ascension Thursday
The Table is supported by an Ascension Thursday supper.
Veterans Day or Martinmas: Veterans’ Day falls on November 11 which, in one of those coincidences, is also the feast of Saint Martin, a patron saint of soldiers. Veterans at Saint Augustine’s and their friends plan and prepare a meal each year which follows a salute to veterans of all wars. Funds are raised to assist the Disabled American Veterans support for local veterans.
The Winter Art Fair
The winter art fair on the first Saturday in February brings together enough artisans to fill the Guild Hall upstairs and downstairs. Funds are raised for the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry.
